A leading aspirant for the National Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has appointed Joseph Osei-Owusu (Joe Wise) and Henry Quartey to lead his campaign team.

The announcement was made on 3rd April 2026 in a statement issued and signed by Vincent Frimpong Manu, Esq., spokesperson for the Boakye Agyarko Campaign.

According to the statement, Mr. Quartey, a former Minister for the Interior and Greater Accra Region under erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration will serve as Campaign Manager.

Joe Wise, as affectionately called in political circles and a former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament as well as former Member of Parliament for Bekwai, has been named Senior Campaign Advisor.

The statement noted that the campaign will be grassroots-centered, with both leaders bringing “an admirable track record of grassroots mobilization, sharp political acumen, and significant national influence.”

“Their combined experience in legislative affairs, internal party dynamics, and executive governance provides the Boakye Agyarko Campaign with a formidable strategic advantage,” It added.

The two leaders expressed confidence in Agyarko’s vision, affirming their commitment to his roadmap to “rebuild, restructure, and rebrand the New Patriotic Party for Victory in 2028.”
