The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially opened applications for 2026 teacher recruitment, allowing qualified and licensed graduates to apply.

In a statement signed by Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the Service announced that the recruitment exercise will run from April 10 to Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to GES, applicants must possess a valid license from the National Teaching Council (NTC) and be in good standing with the Council to be considered.

As part of efforts to bridge the education gap in underserved areas, the Ministry noted that applicants must be willing to accept postings to deprived districts.

Eligible candidates include holders of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degrees, as well as graduates with relevant first degrees who have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or a Diploma in Basic Education.

GES noted that completion of National Service remains mandatory for all applicants.

Interested applicants are required to visit the official GES recruitment portal to complete the online application form.
