A professional barber based in Dubai, known as Rich the Barber, has sparked conversation after revealing the high fees he charges for his services, saying his pricing reflects both his brand and the calibre of clients he works with.

Speaking on Experiences in Life with Nayas on Angel TV, he disclosed that his charges vary depending on the client and the value attached to his work.

“It depends on who I’m barbering and the money the person is giving me because I’ve branded myself,” he explained.

He further revealed that he once received a payment of 2,000 dirhams, which he equated to about GH₵6,000, describing it as part of the value placed on his craft by some clients.

Rich the Barber also drew a distinction between natural talent and learned skill in the barbering industry, suggesting that some people are naturally gifted in the profession while others acquire the skill over time.

“We have people who are born with it and people who learn it. So it can’t be compared to someone who is gifted with it, because I wasn’t born with it,” he added.
