We’d have been divorced by now if he wasn’t from God — Florence Obinim defends husband

Florence Obinim has addressed ongoing online speculation suggesting that she remains in her marriage because her husband is wealthy.

She clarified that she did not marry a rich man, but rather her “fellow poor man,” whom she says God has since blessed.

“I’m not married to any rich man in this world, I married my fellow poor man and God has come to bless us and we have reached this far,” she said.

Florence Obinim emphasized that her marriage has been built on faith and spiritual dependence rather than financial status, advising couples to prioritize God’s wisdom, strength, and understanding when entering into marriage.

According to her, people focus heavily on material requests such as money, land, and property when praying for marriage, instead of asking for guidance and endurance.

“When people are praying about marriage they ask for money, land, properties and house, they are all good but pray for God to give you power, strength, wisdom, and understanding that will help you succeed in your marriage,” she stated.

She further encouraged individuals to seek spiritual strength to sustain their relationships rather than relying solely on material wealth.
