Four individuals including a pregnant woman and her daughter, have perished in a tragic road accident at Kinkinlin near Makango in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
The accident involved a Sinotruk HOWO tipper truck at Kinkinlin near Makango in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, when a group of women and young girls were walking to their farms to pick shea nuts.
Eyewitness accounts said five people were reportedly knocked down by the truck, leading to four dying on the spot.
The account added that the tipper truck, with registration number GB-2359-20, suddenly lost control, veered off its lane, and crossed onto the opposite side of the road, where it struck the victims from behind before overturning.
One person survived the crash but sustained severe injuries and is currently admitted at the Tamale Teaching Hospital receiving medical treatment.
