The founder of the Angel Group of Companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng, has urged young people to seize every opportunity for entrepreneurial skills training.
He indicated that such training represents a vital means of fostering self-employment and alleviating unemployment pressures among the youth in Ghana.
Dr Oteng stressed that launching a business does not require substantial capital. Instead, with modest resources and acquired skills, success is attainable for those with a business mindset, unless, of course, the individual lacks entrepreneurial drive.
“I did not start angel cream business with a huge amount of money. Things were not easy at the time, but here I am today. With the skills and the little amount of money you have, you can start something doing as long as you are a business-minded person.” Dr Kwaku Oteng advised.
Dr Oteng shared these insights during a courtesy visit by members of the Noble Friends of Dr Kwaku Oteng (NFODKO) at his residence in Paraku Estate, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, on Saturday, 9 May 2026.
The NFODKO leadership used the occasion to outline their planned activities for the year, seeking Dr Oteng’s support and guidance for successful implementation.
These initiatives include entrepreneurship skills training aimed at one million (1,000,000) young people in the Ashanti Region and beyond, according to Ragun Mensah, the National Chairman of NFODKO.
Mr Mensah also exhorted members to cultivate unity and discipline, among other virtues, to propel the association to its highest potential.
