Ghanaian singer, KiDi, has announced his plans after he officially parted ways with Lynx Entertainment nearly a year ago, following the expiration of his contract with the label.
According to the award-winning artiste, although many people are only now finding out about his exit, the decision was expected as he always envisioned building his own path someday after learning from the label.
Speaking about his journey, KiDi expressed gratitude to Lynx Entertainment and its CEO, Richie Mensah, for believing in him and transforming him from an unknown talent into a household name.
“I left Lynx Entertainment last year, almost a year now, and people are now getting to know it. And I left because the contract has ended,” he said.
KiDi explained that from the very moment he signed with the label, he knew there would come a time when he would step out on his own to build his personal legacy.
“I knew from the moment I signed with Lynx, when they took me from nobody to somebody, that a time would come when I would go out into the world to be my own person. I would learn all the things I have to learn and take those things into the world and live my own life,” he stated.
The “Touch It” hitmaker further disclosed that Richie Mensah fully supported his decision and even offered to continue assisting him outside the label.
“So Richie gave me his blessings. He told me he still wants to be part of whatever I’ll do outside, but I told him I want to do it myself. I want to make my own glory. He told me he will be there for me anytime I’m in need of anything,” KiDi added.
