Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has added another major international achievement to his career after winning two awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) held in Florida, USA.
In an official statement released by Shatta Movement Music Production on May 18, 2026, management confirmed that the “African Dancehall King” emerged as a double award winner during the prestigious event held over the weekend.
According to the statement, Shatta Wale won:
Best African Dancehall Entertainer and Concert of the Year for ShattaFest
Management expressed appreciation to the organizers of the IRAWMA Awards for recognizing and continuously supporting African music on the global stage.
The statement also acknowledged the unwavering support of fans worldwide, especially members of the Shatta Movement fraternity, for their dedication, votes, and loyalty throughout the years.
“These victories once again confirm Shatta Wale as one of Africa’s leading musical exports and a major force in global dancehall culture,” part of the statement read.
