Nigerian rising afrobeats artiste, MOG, is set to release his new two-track project on June 2, 2026, marking another emotional and reflective chapter in his growing music journey.
The Delta State-born musician continues to build his identity around truth-driven storytelling, vulnerability, and relatable experiences through music. Inspired by global African stars such as Burna Boy, MOG combines smooth melodies with reflective songwriting to create songs centered on ambition, survival, pressure, and personal growth.
The upcoming project follows the release of his previous record ‘OMO’ and is described as a deeply personal body of work exploring themes of identity, perseverance, judgment, gratitude, and self-belief.
According to the artiste, the first track titled “My Name” was inspired during a late-night Grand Theft Auto (GTA) gaming session, particularly the adrenaline and chaos surrounding a five-star police chase. During a break from the game, MOG transformed his imagination and personal experiences into music, blending emotional storytelling with smooth vocal delivery.
The song also features melodic contributions from rising artiste Kux, whose vocals add a calm and polished touch to the emotionally-driven record.
The second track, “Morning Time,” takes a more reflective direction. MOG revealed the song was inspired by criticism he received over his smoking habits. Rather than reacting negatively, the singer turned the experience into a laid-back anthem promoting consistency, authenticity, and self-love.
Through mellow production and honest lyrics, the track encourages listeners to remain true to themselves despite societal opinions. The song also carries a message of gratitude to “BABA G” (God) for guidance, protection, and strength through life’s challenges.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the project, MOG explained that (untitled.exe) reflects real-life emotions, pain, hope, resilience, and the realities of navigating judgment while staying focused on personal growth and ambition.
With its emotional honesty and relatable storytelling, the project further positions MOG among the emerging voices pushing authentic narratives within afrobeats music.
(Untitled.exe)will officially be available on all major streaming platforms on June 2, 2026.
