Kofi Kinaata to release new song for Black Stars’ World Cup campaign

Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata, has has announced plans to release a new song to rally support for the Black Stars’ upcoming campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Tarkodari-based musician noted that the soon-to-be-released track will be dedicated to inspiring both the team and supporters.

“I’m recording a song for the Black Stars today,” Kinaata announced in a Facebook post on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, while urging the public to support the team after the final squad for the tournament was announced.

In the post, the award-winning singer acknowledged that football fans may have differing views regarding the players selected but emphasized the need for collective support as the team prepares for its upcoming assignment.

“The 26-man Ghana Black Stars squad is finally out. We may have different opinions and preferences, but one thing that unites us is our love for Ghana,” Kinaata wrote.

He further urged Ghanaians to rally behind the players as they represent the nation on the international stage.

“As they carry our flag, let’s rally behind them and show our support,” he stressed.
