Actress and filmmaker, Emelia Brobbey, has responded to allegations made by veteran Kumawood actor, Paa George, to the effect that she neglected him despite the support he offered her during the early stages of her acting career.
Speaking in a video shared online, Emelia Brobbey dismissed the claims, stating that the allegations were untrue and may have stemmed from a misunderstanding that occurred while she was in the United Kingdom.
According to the actress, Paa George had attempted to contact her during her stay abroad, but circumstances led to a communication gap between them. She noted that the veteran actor later reached out to her and apologized over the issue.
“He later called me to apologise and said it happened out of forgetfulness,” she revealed.
Emelia further disclosed that despite the public comments made against her, she continued to support Paa George financially.
“I have sent him money twice after that incident. I even sent him money on his birthday,” she stated.
The actress also expressed satisfaction with how she handled the controversy, explaining that she deliberately chose not to respond emotionally out of respect for the veteran actor.
“If I had also granted interviews to defend myself angrily, I would have regretted it because he is an elderly man,” she said.
