The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following the circulation of a video allegedly showing sexual misconduct involving the teacher and a student.
In a statement signed by Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, GES management said it had become aware of a “disturbing video” circulating on social media related to the incident.
The Service has initiated investigations into the matter and, pending the outcome, directed that the teacher be interdicted in accordance with GES rules and regulations.
GES strongly condemned all forms of amorous relationships between teachers and students, reiterating its “zero-tolerance towards sexual misconduct.”
The statement cautioned all staff to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.
Management added that it remains committed to ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of all students within the educational system. Appropriate disciplinary and legal action will be taken against any individual found culpable, the release stated.
The Service assured the public that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness. GES said further updates would be provided as investigations progress.
