The Ottawa Mfantseman Community is set to make history on August 1, 2026, in Ottawa, Canada, with its first-ever Inauguration and Enstoolment Ceremony to celebrate and preserve Fante heritage.
The event, hosted by the Ottawa Mfantseman Community and powered by Willbe Events Canada, will officially inaugurate the community and enstool its traditional leadership.
Traditional authorities, dignitaries, community leaders, cultural organizations, and guests from Ghana, Canada, and beyond are expected to attend.
Organizers say the day will feature royal processions, cultural performances, traditional rites, and community fellowship.
The ceremony aims to promote unity, leadership, and the preservation of Fante traditions for future generations in the diaspora.
The initiative is led by Founder of Ottawa Mfantseman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Willbe Events Canada, Princess Owusu.

Owusu, a daughter of a Paramount Chief of the Fante Kingdom, said her royal heritage and passion for culture inspired her to create the platform to unite the Fante community and strengthen diaspora bonds.
As CEO of Willbe Events Canada, Owusu is known for events that highlight African heritage through event planning, cultural promotion, and community engagement.
The occasion, dubbed the Ottawa Mfantseman Adehyee Celebration, marks a new chapter of cultural pride and legacy-building within the diaspora.
The theme is: “Preserving Our Heritage, Celebrating Our Culture, and Building a Legacy for Future Generations.”
