A concerned group and family supporting former Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo have petitioned the Attorney General for justice over her recent shooting incident.
Adwoa Safo was shot and injured on Sunday, June 21, 2026, amid a violent family dispute over the succession and leadership of the Kristo Asafo Mission.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, June 25, family spokesperson Dr. Emmanuel Boakye said Adwoa Safo’s case must be treated with the same compassion shown to other victims.
He called for serious investigation to bring all perpetrators to book.

“Judges have granted bail to Kwadwo Akofena, but attempted murder needs to be treated as a serious matter,” Dr. Boakye said.
He added: “We are calling for all perpetrators to face the law squarely.”
He thanked President John Dramani Mahama for his support since the incident began.
Kwadwo Safo Junior, youngest son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, urged members of the Kristo Asafo Mission to unite during what he described as difficult times.

“It will take more years for us, the children of the late Apostle Safo, to redeem our images over this incident,” he said.
Osebo Zaraman, also a member of the Kristo Asafo Mission, called for justice and urged that the legacy of the late Apostle Safo live on after his death.

The group’s petition to the Attorney General seeks to ensure that the case is prosecuted with urgency and fairness.
