Ghanaian-Romanian artiste, Wanlov Kubolor, has ignited conversation with claims that Ghanaians often embrace disorder and act only after problems escalate.
Speaking during an interview, the outspoken entertainer cited the late musician Ebony Reigns’ fatal accident as an example to support his argument.
According to Wanlov, the sand that reportedly caused Ebony’s tragic crash remained on the road for several days after the incident, resulting in another accident before authorities eventually intervened.
“We Ghanaians, we are in love with madness. We love it. We thrive in it,” he said.
“The sand that was on the road that took Ebony’s life remained there for at least one more week. Another person also crashed there because of that same sand. It was in the news,” he added.
Wanlov maintained that Ghanaians generally respond only after issues have worsened significantly.
“When things are crazy, that’s when we start paying attention,” he remarked.
He concluded the interview on a light-hearted note, joking that the country’s fascination with chaos is the reason he continues to remain relevant.
“We’re in love with madness. That’s why I’m still relevant,” he quipped.
