The government has advised employers to let staff work from home due to heavy rains and traffic disruptions in Accra on Monday, June 29, 2026.
In a notice issued by the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the sustained downpour has affected movement across the capital.
“We advise employers to allow staff to work from home where possible,” he stated.
He added: “Safety of life precedes work duties,” urging businesses to prioritize employee safety over physical attendance.
The advisory comes as parts of Accra experienced flooding, with reports of stranded vehicles and commuters.
