Bishop Daniel Obinim, says he has decided to stop speaking publicly about issues surrounding his marriage to his wife, Florence Obinim, after what he described as a directive from the Holy Spirit.
Speaking during a church service, the controversial preacher said he had initially intended to address the matter but was spiritually led to remain silent.
“I decided to talk about it but the Holy Spirit keeps pushing me not to talk about it. Anything you hear outside regarding this issue, I have ended it,” he said.
According to Bishop Obinim, he even refrained from discussing the matter during a church service in Kumasi despite having the opportunity to do so.
“I don’t know why the Holy Spirit doesn’t want me to talk about it. So the whole Sunday when I went to the church in Kumasi, I didn’t talk about it. It is the Holy Spirit that stopped me,” he stated.
He explained that his decision was not prompted by a dream, a warning, or advice from anyone.
“I haven’t had any dream about it, no one has said anything to me. I just decided to end it,” he said.
Bishop Obinim further revealed that before attending church on Sunday morning, he deleted videos related to the marriage issue from his social media page.
“Sunday morning at 9:00, I went to delete all the videos I had earlier on my page even before coming to church,” he disclosed.
Reaffirming his position, he stressed that no one had influenced his decision.
“I haven’t heard anything, no one has told me anything. The Holy Spirit just told me to end everything. If I had something to say, I would have been disappointed in myself,” he added.
