Popular American streamer and YouTuber, IShowSpeed, offered words of comfort to Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo following his country’s elimination from the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In an emotional message shared after Portugal’s exit from the tournament, IShowSpeed said he was deeply disappointed by the result, revealing that he had been cheering for Ronaldo to lift the trophy.
“Ronaldo, I love you. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry you lost the World Cup. I was cheering for you, I wanted you to win. I genuinely wanted you to win,” he said.

The internet personality also extended his apology to Ronaldo’s supporters around the world, acknowledging their disappointment after Portugal’s campaign came to an end.
“I’m sorry for anybody who was cheering for Ronaldo, and I’m sorry for all of our fans who were cheering for him. And I’m sorry Portugal as well. I love y’all and love how y’all support me,” he added.
