The Programme, Protocol and Guest Management Committee of the Dagbon Development Fund has made media accreditation compulsory for all journalists, bloggers, photographers and media houses covering the Enskinement of the Regent of Dagbon.

The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 31 at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi.

In a statement issued on Friday, July 25, and signed by Committee Chairman, Naa Bapir’Lamashe Naa Mohammed Iddrisu, the Committee said the directive is to strengthen security, control access, and ensure proper coordination during the historic event.

“Only duly accredited media personnel will be granted access to designated media areas for coverage of the event. No accreditation, no entry,” the Committee stressed.

Media organizations and practitioners seeking to cover the enskinement must submit the following to the Northern Region Chapter Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association, Albert Futukpor – 0206835503 / 0244855702:
1. Full Name
2. Name of Media House/Media Platform
3. Recent Passport Photograph (soft copy)

The deadline for submission is 12:00pm on Monday, July 27. Late applications will not be considered under any circumstance.

The Committee warned that unaccredited persons found within restricted areas will be denied access and may be removed by security.
