Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has reignited his long-standing feud with fellow musician Stonebwoy, asserting that the award-winning singer would struggle to match his confidence and commanding presence.
Speaking during a podcast appearance, ‘The Honest Bunch’, Shatta Wale said he believes his personality and confidence are overwhelming, insisting that Stonebwoy would struggle to face him in a one-on-one studio session.
According to the SM boss, his confidence stems from being genuine and living by the words he speaks, unlike others whom he accused of saying one thing and doing another.
“Stonebwoy can’t watch me. He will fall down when I’m in the studio with him. My spirit is too big for him. You know when you meet some people and their spirit is bigger, you can tell. I’m too confident because I’m not fake. Whatever I say, I stand by it. If I say we’re coming to beat you, we’re coming to beat you. We’re not coming to play. He knows me very well, and because of some of the things he has said, he feels a certain way whenever we meet one-on-one,” Shatta Wale said.
The “On God” hitmaker also suggested that he sometimes feels sorry for Stonebwoy, claiming the BHIM Nation president appears uncomfortable with the continued influence and success of veteran reggae and dancehall artiste Samini.
Shatta Wale alleged that Stonebwoy harbours resentment towards his former mentor because he believes Samini continues to overshadow the younger generation of musicians.
“I’ve been telling people, sometimes when I see him, I feel bad because I feel like he hates Samini. It’s like he thinks Samini will always be bigger than us,” he claimed.
