The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the opening of its first Prestige Centre, a premium service point designed to provide faster, more convenient and flexible access to Ghana Card registration and related services.

The Labone Prestige Centre in Accra will begin operations on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

According to an NIA statement dated Wednesday, July 29, and signed by Head of Corporate Affairs, Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas, the centre will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends. This is to enable members of the public to access NIA services at any time that is convenient for them.

The Authority said the Prestige Centre is a fee based service and all services provided there will attract the applicable approved fees. It is meant to complement the NIA’s existing registration centres by offering an additional option for individuals who require greater convenience, flexibility and faster service.

The NIA noted that the Labone Centre is the first of several Prestige Centres planned across the country. Additional centres will be announced as they become operational.

The Authority reiterated its commitment to making identity services more accessible, efficient and secure while delivering a customer centred experience for all eligible applicants.
