The Queenmother of the Fodzoku Traditional Area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region, Mamaga Afi Yakagbe III, has donated educational materials to pupils of the Fodzoku Roman Catholic Basic School.
The donation, made through the Mamaga Afi Yakagbe III Foundation, included 600 exercise books, 600 pens, and pencils.
The initiative is aimed at supporting education in the area, easing the learning burden on pupils and encouraging them to pursue their studies with confidence.
Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony at the school, Mamaga Afi Yakagbe III encouraged the pupils to take their books seriously, stressing that education is the root of all success.
She noted that the R/C Basic School started as a community-based school with three volunteers, including herself, and therefore holds a special place in her heart. According to her, books are a vital tool in every student’s life, a conviction that inspired the initiative.
Mamaga Afi Yakagbe III expressed gratitude to all who contributed to making the donation possible.
Pupils and teachers of the school thanked the Queenmother and her foundation for the support, describing it as timely and motivating.
