The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has sponsored a group of National Best Cocoa Farmers to the United Kingdom as part of its annual incentive package for distinguished cocoa farmers.
The farmers, accompanied by some COCOBOD officials, are currently in the UK on a trip to major cocoa-related establishments.
As part of the visit, the team toured Cadbury World in Birmingham, England, to gain first-hand insight into chocolate production and the global value of cocoa.
The visit also provided the farmers with an opportunity to interact with officials of Cadbury for their collective benefit.
Their interactions highlighted Ghana’s important role in supplying quality cocoa to the global market.
According to COCOBOD, this annual incentive package is aimed at motivating distinguished cocoa farmers to work harder to increase cocoa production.
COCOBOD has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and empowering cocoa farmers to promote the growth and sustainability of the cocoa sector.
