The Acting Commissioner-General of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Aaron Kanor, has described media personality Ohemaa Woyeje’s book ‘Life Beyond Opinions’ as a must-read for all Ghanaians after purchasing 100 copies of the inspirational piece.
Mr. Kanor received the books on Monday at the GRA Headquarters in Accra, where Ohemaa Woyeje officially delivered the 100 copies to him.
According to the Customs boss, the book carries a powerful life lesson that every individual needs to embrace, particularly on the need to stay authentic and not follow others blindly.
“This book, everybody needs to read it. This book teaches you a lot not to copy people blindly,” he said.
He singled out a chapter titled ‘Opinions are not you’ as one that struck him deeply after flipping through the book moments after receiving it.
“And this morning I just decided to go through and I skipped to where we have a title here saying ‘Opinions are not you’ and I said wow. Just reading this part…,” he recounted.
Mr. Kanor disclosed that his decision to order in bulk was inspired by the first impression he had of the book.
“When you contacted me with this book and I looked at the cover, it appeared to speak volumes, so I requested 100 copies and this morning I’m happy to receive them,” he stated.

He noted that he intends to share the copies with friends, colleagues, and visitors to his office as part of efforts to encourage personal development and critical thinking among people around him.
“I’m just going to make sure that I share it with friends and people who also visit my office to have it and go through it,” he added.
‘Life Beyond Opinions’ is a motivational and self-reflective book authored by Ohemaa Woyeje, known in showbiz as one of Ghana’s most versatile media personalities. The book delves into her personal life experiences, challenges, and growth, while challenging readers to rise above public judgment, societal pressure, and negative opinions that often hold people back.
Since its launch, the book has been gaining traction among readers, professionals, and youth groups, with many describing it as relatable, honest, and practical.
Ohemaa Woyeje has in recent weeks embarked on a campaign to promote the book across various institutions and to influential personalities, as part of efforts to inspire a generation to live beyond opinions.
The endorsement and bulk purchase by the Acting Commissioner-General of Customs is seen as a major boost for the book, given his high-profile position at the GRA.
Observers believe such endorsements will further drive patronage and encourage more Ghanaians, especially young people, to pick up a copy to learn how to navigate life’s opinions and build self-confidence.
