The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mohammed Abdul-Salam, has commended media personality and entrepreneur Harey Adjoa Yeboah Asuama Kusi, popularly known as DJ Ohemaa Woyeje, for her versatility and ability to expand her professional pursuits beyond broadcasting.
The commendation came during a courtesy visit to Mr Abdul-Salam’s office, where Ohemaa Woyeje presented him with a specially signed copy of her book, Life Beyond Opinions: A Guide to Confidence, Courage, Resilience, and the Power to Ignore the Noise.
During the meeting, Mr Abdul-Salam expressed appreciation for her talent, dedication and efforts to explore opportunities beyond her established career in radio.
He commended her for drawing on more than two decades of media experience to venture into other areas of professional and entrepreneurial development.
He also acknowledged the themes explored in her new book, noting that its title alone speaks volumes about the message it seeks to communicate. He welcomed the initiative and expressed his intention to read the book, indicating that he was eager to explore the ideas and insights contained in its pages.
The NLA Chief Executive further encouraged initiatives of this nature, emphasising the importance of supporting and encouraging efforts that contribute to personal development and positive influence.
The presentation formed part of the author’s engagement with distinguished personalities whose professional journeys and leadership make them relevant voices in conversations about growth, confidence and purposeful living.
Life Beyond Opinions explores themes of self worth, authentic living, courage, resilience and the importance of not allowing external judgments to determine one’s identity or limit one’s potential. It encourages readers to develop inner confidence, navigate disappointment and pursue their aspirations without becoming prisoners of public opinion.
The book reflects Ohemaa Woyeje’s interest in personal development and her belief that the lessons people learn through life and professional experience can be transformed into meaningful guidance for others.
Her career spans more than two decades in media, with experience across broadcasting and other professional ventures. Her latest literary work represents another dimension of her commitment to communicating ideas, sharing life lessons and encouraging people to embrace personal growth.
Mr Abdul-Salam’s commendation highlights the value of professional versatility and the willingness to explore new opportunities beyond one’s established field.
As Ohemaa Woyeje continues to expand her work across media, entrepreneurship and authorship, Life Beyond Opinions adds a new dimension to her professional journey, inviting readers to reflect on their identity, strengthen their confidence and pursue a more purposeful life.
The book’s central message is that while people may have opinions about us, those opinions do not have to define who we are or determine what we can become.
