Ghanaian actress, Gloria Sarfo, has urged established personalities and content creators to use their platforms to positively influence the youth.
According to her, industry players must be mindful of the messages they put out and avoid encouraging young people to engage in activities that could negatively affect their future.
Speaking in an interview on Sunday, October 25, 2026, the actress called on content creators to serve as good role models for the younger generation.
“As people who are already established in the industry, when we get platforms, we need to speak about things that impact the youth positively. We shouldn’t instigate or incite any youth to do something we know will affect their future,” she said.
Madam Sarfo stressed the need for established personalities to become examples young people can look up to and learn from.
She explained that industry players should live in ways that would make parents proud when their children identify them as mentors.
The actress also urged young people to be patient with their personal journeys, noting that everyone progresses at a different pace.
“Life is being tough on all of us, so everyone should take their time. Let’s take things slow. Someone’s journey won’t be like yours, and it’s fine,” she added.
She encouraged the youth to take advantage of opportunities, build meaningful connections and be intentional about creating lives that would positively impact others in the future.
The actress further cautioned against spending one’s life trying to gain public attention or prove a point to others, urging young people to focus on their own growth instead.
“We shouldn’t spend all our lives trying to be seen, trying to prove a point to anybody. Just live your life,” she said.
