The newly elected Asuogyaman Constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Karim Awudu, has asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no chance of winning the Asuogyaman parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the NPP in the constituency will only contest for contesting sake to fulfill Ghana’s democratic process.
He attributed this to what he described as the overwhelming performance of the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman and Deputy Finance Minister, Thomas Ampem Nyarko.
Speaking in an interview with Angel News Correspondent, Jaman Dehyee Opambour, Mr. Awudu described the MP as a visionary leader who is committed to the development of the constituency and the welfare of electorates.
To buttress his point, he listed several developmental projects undertaken by the NDC government through the MP, including the commissioning of South Senchi Primary School, which has been adopted as a Mahama Model Basic School for 2027, Aboasa Presbyterian JHS, and Asikuma Pentecost Basic School.
He further disclosed that all major roads in Asuogyaman, including the Akosombo to Gyakiti road, are currently under construction and will be completed soon.
