The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Certification Centre (ICC), Mr. Prince Senyo Dzahene, has cautioned newly graduated professionals against relying solely on their certificates.
He urged graduands to demonstrate acquired skills to drive tangible growth in their respective organisations.
Speaking to journalists during the institution’s graduation ceremony at GIMPA, Mr. Dzahene emphasised that earning a qualification is only the first step toward true professional advancement.
“Certification alone is not enough. You must demonstrate in your workplaces that you have acquired new skills and elevated your professional capabilities. Let your employers and organisations truly benefit from what you have learned,” he stated.
He cautioned graduates against using academic and professional titles merely for social media visibility or office décor. Instead, he urged them to embody the knowledge gained and deliver tangible results that benefit both their employers and society at large.
“It should not just be about displaying certificates on social media platforms or hanging them on office walls,” he stressed. “The transformation must show within yourselves, reflected in how your training yields real benefits for your organisation and community.”

The graduation ceremony saw approximately 250 candidates graduate after successfully completing various professional certification modules.
Highlighting the overarching vision of the institution, Mr. Dzahene reiterated that the International Certification Centre remains committed to building workforce capacity across diverse industries.
He noted that the centre’s core mission is to empower corporate entities and ambitious individuals seeking to sharpen their skill sets and achieve globally recognised professional credentials.
