A Communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Owusu Banahene, says after almost eight years in office, President Nana Akufo-Addo has underperformed.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Banahene argued that members of the New Patriotic Party cannot boast of any single development under its current administration.

He instead, indicated that improvements in road infrastructure Kyebi, the hometown of the President, is the only track record of Nana Akufo-Addo.

He asked: “What has your NPP achieved as government power in power.? Apart from roads in Kyebi that President Akufo-Addo has a better record of, what else has he done as a statesman.”

His remarks come after the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi on the same show touted the government’s achievements on road infrastructure saying, they had constructed more than 12, 000km of roads since coming into power in 2017.

The NDC communicator also questioned the grounds for which members of the governing party continue to brag about the supposed records on road construction, despite having nothing to show off.

“The claims by the NPP on the constructing of roads in the country are all mediocre because, you don’t even see these roads,” he said.
