The Chief of Denkyira Besease, who also serves as the Dabehene of the Denkyira Traditional Area in the Central Region, Nana Obeng Anane I, has reiterated his commitment to the welfare and development of his people.

Speaking at the commissioning of a water project he initiated in collaboration with a mining exploration company operating in the area, Nana Obeng Anane I emphasized his commitment to the community and the people at large.

According to him, he deems his position as a chief meaningful only because of the support and well-being of his community members.

He expressed his determination to lead by example as a chief who prioritizes the needs of his people.

“Without my community members, I am not qualified to be a chief. It is, therefore, my responsibility to bring meaningful development to serve them,” he stated.

The newly commissioned water project is expected to alleviate the challenges of accessing clean water in the community.

Nana Obeng Anane I urged the residents to adopt a maintenance culture to ensure the project serves the community for a long time.

He further assured his people of continued efforts to collaborate with stakeholders to bring more developmental projects to Denkyira Besease and its environs.
