The senior national men’s football team, the Black Stars, has expressed its gratitude to Ghanaians for rallying behind them to achieve victory in their recent matches during the FIFA international break.

The team recorded 5-0 and 3-0 wins over Chad and Madagascar, respectively, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The results put Ghana at the top of its group, placing the team in an advantageous position to qualify for the competition, which will be hosted by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

Jordan Ayew, on behalf of the playing body, thanked the general public for their support and noted that their patriotism contributed to the team’s victories.

According to the Leicester City attacker, the voices, messages, and presence of Ghanaians at the matches fuel their determination and contributed to their success.
