Ghanaian music sensation, Kwaku Flick, has shared the exciting story behind his popular song “Messiah”, a collaboration with renowned rapper Sarkodie.
In an exclusive interview, Kwaku Flick disclosed that the song’s conception was unexpected and entertaining.
“I received a message from my manager, Pablo Tunes, informing me that Sarkodie had sent him a song. I was doubting at first, thinking it was a joke, because my manager is a jovial type,” he said.
However, upon checking his WhatsApp, Kwaku Flick found a document from Sarkodie, which turned out to be the song “Messiah”.
“So my manager asked me to check my WhatsApp and surprisingly it was a document and when I downloaded it, it was the song. I was eager to record my part, but unfortunately, something came up, and I had to postpone it until the next day”, he asserted.
According to him,after recording and sending the song to Sarkodie, he was anxious about the Sarkodie’s reaction.
“Everyone enjoyed the song after I recorded it so I sent it to Sarkodie to be Frank I was a bit scared whether he would like it or not and to my surprise, Sarkodie loved the song, especially the intro. It was a huge relief, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with him,” he uttered.
