Vision FC has been hit with a tragic blow following the death of their captain, Habib Ganiu.
The Ghana Premier League side announced the heartbreaking news on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
“We are greatly saddened to announce the passing of our player Habib Ganiu,” the club announced.
The club expressed its condolences to the deceased’s family and friends.
“All at the club send our heartfelt condolences to Habib’s family and friends in this difficult moment. Rest well, Capito!”
The cause of his death has not been officially disclosed.
Ganiu, who captained Vision FC during their historic qualification for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, was widely respected for his leadership and dedication.
His contributions, both on and off the field, were instrumental in guiding the team to the top tier of Ghanaian football.
Vision FC and the football community across the country continue to mourn the loss of the player.
