A man, believed to be in his early 30s, has been murdered and buried with dried grass at Gomoa Mamfam, a suburb of Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The body was discovered by local residents, who were alerted by a foul odour emanating from the area.
The deceased had been murdered by unknown individuals and buried in front of an uncompleted building.
Eyewitness, Napoleon Mensah, recounted the grim discovery, stating that the community had been troubled by the bad smell for some time.
“We recently heard that there’s a small building here, where a woman carrying a baby was killed, and the baby was crying, which caught someone’s attention. Later, the police came to take the baby away. We’ve been smelling a bad scent for some time, but we didn’t know where it was coming from.”

He continued, “I was walking up there when I heard a rumour circulating that someone had been killed in your house. I live nearby, but I had no idea that a murder had taken place in my vicinity.
“It was this morning when a person came to this area, and the locals decided to search around. They found a body lying face down, covered with small weeds.”
“We seek protection, as there have been multiple incidents. This is not the first person, or second, and we do not want it to happen a third time,” he lamented.
Meanwhile, the Awutu Bereku District Police Command has recovered the decomposed body and arranged for it to be buried.
