The government has officially announced the funeral arrangements for the eight state office holders who tragically lost their lives in the recent helicopter crash.
The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, starting at 8:00 AM.
The event will serve as a platform to pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the departed, who have been described as national heroes.
In an invitation from the Presidency, President John Dramani Mahama, together with Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and the bereaved families, invite the public to the funeral ceremony.
“All are cordially invited,” the notice noted, calling on citizens to join in honouring the memory of the eight fallen individuals.
The state funeral is expected to attract dignitaries, security service personnel, and members of the public, reflecting the nation’s collective grief and gratitude for the contributions of the deceased to Ghana’s development.
