The Presidency has extended a solemn invitation to the nation to join in paying tribute to the eight gallant Ghanaians who perished in the tragic helicopter crash of August 6, 2025.

An official communique from the Presidency said the Funeral Planning Committee invites the public, institutions, and all stakeholders to unite in remembrance and honour the lives lost in the incident.

Members of the public are thereby encouraged to send messages of condolence and heartfelt tributes for inclusion in the official funeral brochure.

Tributes can be submitted via email to tributes@presidency.gov.gh, with the deadline set for Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM GMT.

The statement further announced that a State Funeral will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Black Star Square in Accra, commencing at 8:00 AM, to honour the victims.

Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, emphasised that the courage, dedication, and spirit of the deceased inspires Ghanaians to strive for a stronger, more united, and prosperous nation.
