The Ofaakor District Magistrate Court in Kasoa has sentenced three individuals found guilty of examination malpractice during the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The convicts include Samuel Armah, a teacher at Ghana College SHS, and two impersonating students, Kwame Oteng Nkansah and Amedeka James.

Mr. Armah was caught with leaked answers to Social Studies Paper 1 on his mobile phone and dictating them to candidates while invigilating.

Meanwhile, Kwame Oteng Nkansah, a Level 100 student of Accra Technical University, impersonated Quayson Francis Atta of Ghana College SHS during the Social Studies paper.

Amedeka James, a Level 100 student of the University of Ghana, impersonated his twin brother, Amedeka Justice, of Ghana College SHS during the same paper.

The court, after investigations, delivered its judgment, sentencing Samuel Armah to a fine of 80 penalty units and 8 months’ imprisonment.

Kwame Oteng Nkansah and Amedeka James were each fined 80 penalty units and sentenced to 6 months’ imprisonment.
