A disturbing incident occurred at Fijai, a community in the Gomoa East District near Kasoa, where 35-year-old Ben Owusu was allegedly abducted from his home during a robbery.
Ben, popularly known as “Bra Ben,” is a seller of POP (Plaster of Paris) products who operates around Accra Lane.
According to reports, Ben sent a distressing message to his landlord around 2:50 a.m., alerting him to the presence of armed robbers in his home and requesting immediate police assistance.
The report added that unfortunately, the landlord did not respond promptly.
Ben is said to have reached out to a female friend nearby for help but by the time they broke into his room, the robbers had fled, leaving behind bloodstains on the floor.
The community quickly notified the police, who have since launched an investigation into the incident.
Ben’s android phone was reported missing, while two other phones and his laptop were found damaged, a neighbor, who requested anonymity for security reasons, told the media.
The police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding Ben’s disappearance and to identify the perpetrators.
