An Accra Circuit Court has remanded into police custody, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, following his arrest on Monday, September 8, 2025.
This was after the court, presided over Samuel Bright Akwa turned down a plea by his legal counsel, Daniel Amartey for him to be granted bail.
Angel News’ court correspondent, Ama Brako Ampofo reported Tuesday that, the judge justified the remand to allow the police to carry out investigations into the charges against the accused.
The remand means Abronye DC will reappear in court on Friday, September 12.
Abronye was arrested for alleged offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace, according to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, which confirmed the arrest.
