Embattled Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court on Monday, September 15, 2025.
He was granted bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with one surety, subject to no justification.
According to Angel Court reporter Ama Brako, the bail was granted after lead counsel for the accused, Daniel Mantey Addo, requested that the court move the re-arraignment date from September 19 to today, citing the deteriorating health condition of his client.
The trial judge, Samuel Bright Acquah, subsequently proceeded to grant Abronye bail without any opposition.
The legal team is currently working to meet the bail conditions to secure his immediate release.
Abronye DC, who is facing charges of “offensive conduct conducive to a breach of public peace,” was arrested on September 8, 2025.
