The Tema West Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Opoku has said that his party’s flagbearer-hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has the solution to issues of irregularities facing recruitment exercises into the country’s security services.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show, Thursday, November 13,2025 on the military recruit stampede which occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, he stated that Kennedy’s focus on job creation is key to preventing such incidents.

“The solution to all these happenings is Kennedy,” Mr. Opoku stated.

He explained that if jobs were readily available, the massive turnout for military recruitment wouldn’t have led to tragedy.

“He started talking about jobs. If jobs were created, 61,000 people wouldn’t have gone and choked in their quest to be military personnel.”

Mr. Opoku urged politicians to speak out against irregularities in the recruitment process, suggesting awareness of corruption in the system.

“Politicians are fully aware that this process is deceitful, given that those who will be employed already know themselves,” he said.
