Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has affirmed that his anticipated victory in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries on January 31 will signify the beginning of a journey to restore the party to its rightful place.
Dr. Bawumia, who is contesting the NPP flagbearership against four other candidates, has been campaigning vigorously in the Greater Accra Region as part of his nationwide campaign.
In appreciation of the overwhelming support he has received from delegates, he posted a rallying call on his Facebook page directed at his party members.
While thanking the constituencies he has visited and acknowledging the hard work of party members on his behalf, he reassured them that he is embarking on a journey with everyone.
He emphasised that beyond his victory in the primaries on January 31, 2026, a collective effort will be essential to restore the party.
“Thank you all for the great reception, for the ground work you have been doing for me, and for your continuous support.”
“This is a journey with all and for all; we will win together in January, by the grace of God, to continue with our ultimate mission of working together to restore our great party to its rightful place,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
The former Vice President is widely tipped to retain the NPP presidential candidacy for the 2028 presidential election.
