Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, says Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s integrity and stewardship position him as the best candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, Dr. Bawumia embodies humility and integrity, making him the most qualified candidate to lead the party among the aspirants.

Speaking on the Angel Anopa Bofuo Show, hosted by Ohemaa Sekyiwaa on Friday, January 30, 2026, Mr. Nkansah added that “I will first talk about his personality, and secondly, he has already sold himself to the people.”

He noted that Dr. Bawumia has launched numerous initiatives that have positively contributed to the country’s development and that he is widely recognized, even among children.

Mr. Nkansah argued that Dr. Bawumia’s name has become synonymous with many positive changes, particularly his digitization initiatives, which have alleviated the stress people previously experienced when reloading electricity cards or renewing health insurance.

“Today, you can just sit in the house and use the short code to renew your insurance cards,” he said.

He therefore urged the party’s delegates to vote for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming presidential primaries slated for Saturday, January 31, 2025.
