President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has publicly thrown his support behind the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Dr. Randy Abbey, amid heightened public debate surrounding Ghana’s cocoa sector.
In a post shared on his Facebook wall, Okraku praised Abbey’s recent television appearance on TV3, describing his delivery as articulate and reflective of deep intellectual capacity and a strong grasp of key national issues.
“Dr. Randy Abbey, your articulate delivery on TV3 has reinforced my long-held belief in your intellect and astute understanding of key issues. I commend your continued excellence,” Okraku wrote.
He further expressed confidence in Abbey’s leadership at COCOBOD, noting that his contributions would be instrumental in reviving the cocoa industry, which has recently come under intense public and media scrutiny.
“Your contributions will undoubtedly aid the resurgence of our cocoa industry. Keep a cool head bro!!! Still believe!!” he added.
Randy Abbey’s media engagement comes at a time when COCOBOD is facing criticism over cocoa pricing, farmer payments, and broader structural challenges within the sector.
