Stars and legends of Ghanaian cinema, alongside the public, turned out in their numbers for the premiere of the highly anticipated TV series “The Blanksons.”
The series, dedicated to creativity, talent, and storytelling, and produced by ChannelOne TV, premiered at its studios in Tesano on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Expected to begin airing soon on ChannelOne TV, “The Blanksons” showcases genuine Ghanaian experiences, portraying relatable family interactions, daily life, and pressing social issues.

Speaking to the Director and Producer of the series, Victoria Delali Dogbe highlighted that the content depicts authentic Ghanaian stories reflecting real family dynamics, everyday experiences, and social issues.
“We want to take the direction of telling authentic Ghanaian stories; we want to go into full filmmaking from this year. It’s also relatable, with family dynamics, drama with humor, and with quality production and good sound,” she told Angelonline.com.gh on the sidelines of the event.

On his part, celebrated filmmaker and Chairman of the Board of the National Film Authority (NFA), Ivan Quashigah, applauded the producers for the script and its originality and remarkable storyline.
“In terms of how I judge productions, the script is really good. I look for a good script, good acting, and strong production values. The mix is really good, and the punchlines are there,” he acknowledged.

Veteran actor Ricky Adelayitar also praised the cast and crew for their professionalism and hard work in putting together such a solid production, encouraging ChannelOne TV to continue producing more of The Blanksons’ kind.
“I love the characters, the crew is wonderful, highly professional, I am telling you the truth, they are good. Channel One TV, don’t stop, build upon this one,” he mentioned.

Kingsley Yamoah, who portrays Mr. Blankson in the series expressed that their dedication on set was evident. He further lauded the team for keeping the production on schedule and ensuring a smooth workflow.

Film director Peter Sedufia, Ivan Quashigah, veteran actors Ricky Adelayitar and Augustine Abbey (popularly known as Idikoko), movie director Pascal Aka, among others, all graced the colourful night.
