The Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) has assured the public that it has an adequate oxygen supply and that patient care remains uninterrupted.
The statement comes in response to a social media post alleging a shortage of oxygen at the hospital.
According to a statement issued by the hospital, one of TTH’s oxygen plants is “currently undergoing technical repairs, but this has not compromised the hospital’s ability to supply oxygen to patients.”
The other oxygen plants remain fully operational and continue to provide oxygen.
The hospital clarified that it has partnerships with external institutions to rely on during emergencies, but it does not owe any of these companies.
TTH emphasized that patient services have not been affected by an oxygen shortage.
Management of TTH encouraged stakeholders to seek clarification through appropriate channels before sharing information that could cause public anxiety or misrepresent the situation.
The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and service integrity.
