Technical Advisor to the Minister of Interior, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs) will be a speaker at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
It is as part of the seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) currently taking place at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The high-level panel discussion, under the theme ‘From Commitment to Capability – Women Police Leaders Advancing Peace, Protection and Partnership in UN Contexts,’ will highlight the leadership role of women in policing and their contributions to peacebuilding, protection of communities and strengthening partnerships within UN Contexts.
The event which is under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will tap into the expertise of senior female police officers and other stakeholders on peacebuilding within UN contexts.
The seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women – CSW70 (2026) – will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 9th to 19th March 2026.
Participants will include representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from all regions of the world who are invited to attend the session.
