Ghanaian dancehall star, Stonebwoy, has announced that the 2026 edition of BHIM Fest will be held in London, as part of efforts to expand the popular music festival to a global audience.

The announcement was made on Thursday, March 12,2026, with the award-winning artiste revealing plans to expand the annual event beyond its traditional base in Accra.

BHIM Fest has grown into one of the biggest music festivals in Ghana over the years. The festival’s 10th edition, held in December 2025, sold out the Accra Sports Stadium for the second consecutive year, highlighting its growing popularity among music fans.

The move to London comes after Stonebwoy’s successful international performances, including his sold-out concert at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in March 2025.

Fans have welcomed the announcement with excitement, describing it as another sign of Ghanaian music’s growing global recognition.

Many believe hosting the festival in London could further expose Ghana’s music and culture to a wider international audience.

However, the announcement has also sparked debate on social media, with some critics drawing comparisons between Stonebwoy’s achievements and recent successes by fellow Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie in the United Kingdom.

Despite the comparisons, several fans and industry players have called for unity among supporters of both artistes, urging them to celebrate the progress of Ghanaian music on the global stage rather than create divisions.

BHIM Fest, organised by Stonebwoy and his team, has become a major platform for showcasing Ghanaian and African music, bringing together top artistes and thousands of fans each year.

The upcoming London edition is expected to further cement the festival’s status as an international celebration of Ghanaian music and culture.
