Ghanaian comic actor and film producer, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has disclosed that a child he believed to be his for nearly a decade is not biologically his, following the results of a recent DNA test.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session, LilWin revealed that the test confirmed that one of the children he has been raising for about ten years is not his biological child. Despite the shocking discovery, the actor said he did not react with anger when he learned the truth.
During the live session, LilWin considered sharing the DNA test results and photos of the child with the public. However, fellow actor Kwame Gee advised him against doing so.
According to LilWin, he has several children, but the test revealed that one of them is not biologically his.
“There is one child among my children whom I have fathered for about 10 years, but the child is not mine. I have many children, but one of them isn’t mine. Recently, when we went to check and I realised the child wasn’t mine, I didn’t get angry or anything,” he said.
The Kumawood star also used the opportunity to advise other parents not to react angrily if a DNA test reveals that a child they have been raising is not biologically theirs.
“The DNA issue is a true story that happened to me, and I want to tell everyone that if the same thing happens to you, don’t get angry about it because, at the end of the day, in one way or another, we still take care of other people’s children,” he noted.
LilWin further explained that the revelation did not come as a complete shock to him because he had long suspected that the child might not be his.
“The truth is that from the beginning, I suspected the child wasn’t mine, but I took it normally. I even run a school where I take care of other people’s children and support widows as well. The only issue I have is when a woman knows a child is not for a particular man, that man is taking care of the child, and she still wants to disturb him,” he added.
