The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the temporary closure of the VVIP Lounge at Accra International Airport (AIA) to facilitate renovation works aimed at improving safety, comfort, and functionality.
According to a statement issued on Friday, April 3, 2026, the closure takes effect immediately and the facility is expected to reopen on Friday, April 10, 2026.
The renovations form part of ongoing efforts to upgrade key national infrastructure and enhance service delivery for high-level dignitaries and official guests.
The Ministry further apologized for any inconvenience caused to stakeholders and the public, reiterating its commitment to efficient and high-quality public service.
